Media Release: DAF launches new website
PACCAR Australia, parent company of DAF Trucks Australia, has launched the new DAF website. DAF’s integrated campaign message ‘Do the Math, Buy a DAF’ design elements have been the foundation for the new website that is modern, clean and provides visitors with an engaging experience.
By taking a fresh and coordinated approach, DAF has created a clear connection between all of its assets while maintaining its brand position in a fresh and responsive environment.
The new site reflects the brand platform DAF Trucks Australia has been promoting in 2017. The site has been designed to provide the ultimate user experience with improved navigation and functionality, allowing visitors to access product information and videos with the option to share information across major social networking sites.
“DAF is a leading brand in Europe and the UK and we know the DAF product in Australia has so much to offer Australian truck drivers and buyers, and that’s why we are doing all we can to get this brand on more people’s shopping list,” said Rob Griffin, DAF General Sales Manager,
“The goal is to invite more people to consider a DAF. We know from customer feedback that people’s perception of the DAF product enhances dramatically when they experience the range firsthand. ‘Drive it, you’ll love it’ is a frequent response from new DAF owners. This coupled with the support of the extensive extended PACCAR network, the strongest in Australia, and DAF’s reputation for safety, comfort and efficiency, is why DAF is the smart choice.”
“This new website better represents our vision for DAF for the future.”
PACCAR Australia has been selling DAF in Australia since 1998 and in that time has delivered more than 4,000 trucks.

The availability of PACCAR’s MX-13 engine under the bonnet of Australian made Kenworth trucks was described as a game changer when it was first announced in 2014.
The PACCAR MX-13 engine offers Kenworth customers an engine choice in the competitive 13L market, in applications where tare weight and fuel economy are critical elements in performance. With the optimised Eaton UltraShift® PLUS Transmission (AMT), the PACCAR MX-13 delivers even more benefits, providing an integrated solution for those customers wanting an Automated Manual Transmission in their operations.
Kenworth DAF Adelaide proud to sponsor the OZ Outback Odyssey
Since 2015 Kenworth DAF Adelaide has been supporting the OZ Outback Odyssey to help raise vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctors Service. For the 3rd year running General Manager Jonathan Crawford, Josh Beattie, Lachie McQuade & Ben Holmes will set off from Adelaide in car 1934 across the outback to the far north of Queensland.
Like many of us, Jono never thought that he would be in need of the RFDS….. Until one day he had to make a life changing phone call for a close family member in need. A special connection was formed that day with the RFDS that he will always hold close to his heart.
“I'm inspired by the work of Royal Flying Doctor Service - serving SA NT & beyond and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in OZ Outback Odyssey 2017. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can. The more people that know about Royal Flying Doctor Service, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing this cause with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it will save lives!” Jonathan Crawford – General Manger CMV Truck Sales & Service Pty Ltd

THE T610 COMES TO KENWORTH DAF ADELAIDE
Late last year, Kenworth Australia launched its best truck yet, the T610 & T610SAR, which is by far the largest, most functional and most exactingly manufactured cab ever. We are extremely proud to be associated with this outstanding Australian-designed, Australian-made Kenworth.
Here at Kenworth DAF Adelaide, we recently held our own T610 customer launch at the dealership, with more than 200 customers in attendance. Guest speakers from PACCAR detailed the design and innovation that has gone into the development of this truck to make it more intuitive, comfortable, aerodynamic and better looking. This successful evening was followed by an open day for families and interested parties to come and experience the new model. Our staff were kept busy cooking the BBQ and handing out refreshments and balloons.
The T610 is creating enormous excitement and activity and we are looking forward to seeing more and more of them on the roads!
TAKE A PEEK INTO PARTS
Renovations at the front end of our dealership are now complete, making the parts and service area open and accessible to our customers. We removed the dividing wall between the showroom and parts department, which gives both areas a clean, fresh flow-through feel. The parts team has been busy rearranging their shelving to better showcase our large range of products.
Thank you to our customers, suppliers and staff for their patience during the renovations. The end result is well worth the effort as we have improved our customers’ experience across parts, service and sales. Another benefit is that the new layout is more inclusive for staff across our dealership’s various operations.
SERVICE ON TRACK
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) has authorised qualified staff in our service department to undertake roadworthy inspections, brake roller, shaker plates and pit infrastructure inspections. This is for vehicles over 4.5t GVM, which are older than three years, for change of ownership purposes. We have been extremely successful in completing numerous inspections on a daily basis, including completing 88 inspections in the shortest month of the year! You can find out more about the heavy vehicle inspection here
In January, we welcomed four new apprentices to our dealership; Ethan Mclean, Campbell Byrne, Nicholas Pitts and Ryan Fogarty. Under the direction of Training & Apprenticeship Manager Troy Seyfang these young men will undergo a range of skills-based training and supervision.
We have developed a competency-based training matrix to train our technicians on a broad spectrum of vehicle components. Not only does this provide a variety of work, but it delivers multi-skill sets across the entire service area, to ensure our customers receive a consistent quality of workmanship.
The 2017 SARTA 'Great Gatsby' Gala Dinner was recently held with a great night being had by all. We were extremely proud to see the Kym Brennand Memorial Young Achiever of the Year Award go to Josh Beattie and the Jim Crawford Memorial Award for Employee of the Year awarded to duel winners Daniel Mcfee and Malcom McBeath.
Josh was caught by surprise at the announcement of the award, and Daniel and Malcom (above), both drivers for Gilberts Transport Services made history as the first duel winners, presented by Kenworth DAF Adelaide's General Manager, Jonathan Crawford.

Our Customers: Bigger and Better - M&D Wilson
The first T609 delivered into South Australia went down to the piteresque Southern Vales region - to Malcolm and Di Wilson, from McLaren Flat. It was their first ever Kenworth...
Experience has taught Malc Wilson that not all trucks are the same. And, even though some brands may share similar components, that's where the similarity ends.
Our Customers: Rags to Riches - Craig Arthur
There wouldn’t be many owners, or operators who know the ins and outs of their Kenworths like Craig Arthur ...
It all started for Craig with the family business about 30 years ago, back when Craig’s grandmother was cleaning the South Australian Commercial Motor Vehicle Group (CMV) head offices in Flinders Street. While his father, Trevor was taking care of the truck detailing at CMV’s South Road dealership. When CMV moved part of its dealership out to Gepps Cross, his Dad made the shift as well, taking on the detailing and pre-delivery work for CMV’s bus division.
Our Customers: The Searchers - Halliburton
Halliburton’s expertise has been instrumental in the early development of Australia’s oil and gas fields. Fifty years later, the company is still hard at work ...
Australians have been crossing the Great Divide to seek their fortune in the outback since the arrival of the First Fleet. From the early explorers to the gold miners and cattle barons who followed them, the search for fabled riches has become part of bush folklore.
These days though the story has shifted, it’s all about the mining giants and their attractive employment packages that are the lure. Multi-million dollar mines capture the headlines, but it’s the search for new resources that drives the investment.
